At 23, I laughed all the things that I wished for. In fact when I was a kid. Most of these things that I have done during my “legal” ages of puberty weren’t satisfying at all. I never been a superhero in tight suit but the rest were just burst of emotions. One wrong move and it’s “Happy Fathers’ Day” to me or “Hello City Jail”.

Joking aside, growing up will come. Never rush things and enjoy your childhood because time is very precious. Most importantly, growing up comes greater and bigger possibilities. At my age, I still don’t think of things like establishing my own family. I guess there is still a kid in me that struggles to fit in the estuary of being a little child into a grown up.

Speaking of struggles, one of the problems that I faced as I graduate from college is job hunting. I thought at first that this phase in my life would be easier. I thought that I can get any random job that I applied and I will be the one to make the selection. I thought application is a piece of cake drizzled with sweet maple syrup and melted butter on top. However, the reality punched me down and it gave me a hint of its bitter truth. Job hunting is not as easy as 1-2-3. It isn’t a joke that is easy to crack and to laugh at.

Looking for a decent job is really a crucial point of every one’s life. Probably, many of you can relate to the things that I have experienced. So if you were to go to a job interview, make sure that you have these very important things with you. Aside from bringing yourself, you should also be equipped with basic materials that would determine your preparedness for the job. Here is a list of the common promotional products and things that you should have in your bag.

Pens

This is one of the basic things that you should bring for your interview. Most job interviews require applicants to register and fill up some important forms before facing a verbal interview. Don’t rely on other people to provide you a pen to use. It wouldn’t be ethical if you would ask the Human Resource people for a pen or worse if you ask your interviewer for a petty custom logo pen. You should always take note that these people are observing you not just the things that are printed on your Curriculum Vitae. They also observe how you dress and even in your gestures. So bring always bring a pen ready and impress.

ID’s and ID Holders

Bring at least two valid ID’s that are issued by the government. These are not just important for your proof of identity; you also need it in order to pass the security before entering the company premises. Most establishments are obliging visitors to deposit their IDs at the lobby before they enter a certain building. This is a protocol in order so secure the safety of other people for the possibility of terrorist attacks and bomb threats. Now that we know the essence of the ID is, what is the significance of the customized ID holders? Well, the answer is simple. It serves as a design to your. Of course, no one wants that their ID’s to look sloppy, right? It is your name and identity that is at stake, remember.

File Case

Application is also selling. This is the moment when you sell yourself and your skills to the company that you are aiming for. So, in order to testify your qualities to your interviewer, you should show them tangible proof. These items could be your certificates, your works and many other important documents. However, if you have a pile of paper to show, make sure that you will present it in an organized manner. Get a file case where you can arrange the things that you should show to your interviewer. Seeing you organized in your file case would be added to you assessment points.

Mint

In case that your toothpaste failed to keep your breath fresh, you can always rely on mints that can knock gnarly-smelling mouth in seconds. Always keep it inside your pocket but you should always remember not to chew it in front of your interviewer. Instead of getting mint in candy form, try breath strips. It will melt in your mouth in no time.

Water Bottle

Interviews might be time consuming and totally exhausting so always bring a water bottle with you so you can take a sip of refreshment. Drinking water will surely calm your mind and take nervous out of your system. More than that, there are water bottles that are customized with several pictures. Looking a these images might make you smile amidst the tension. Staring at these pictures of the people that are very important to you will definitely loosen you up.

Flash Drive

Things are high-end nowadays. If you have other materials to show and most of these are big files, why can always rely on flash drives to store your files. Just make sure that your flash does not contain anything that would give your boss a little hint why you should not be hired, e.g. porn videos, porn images and many other work hazard files. Moreover, make sure that you USB flash drive is virus free or else that’s bigger damage to their system and to you.

These are some of the things that you should always bring in your bag before you head on to an interview. Always remember that this is a very crucial point of your life. As much as possible, do your best to ace this job interview. If you didn’t pass their requirement, you can always try again and never commit the same mistakes again and good luck!
